Meet Coach Mike

I’m Michael Tennant, a strength coach and former World Champion athlete with over a decade of experience in helping people get strong, gain muscle, lose fat, move better, and build a body that lasts.

My approach blends proven strength training principles with a focus on real-world functional movement, injury prevention, and lifestyle optimisation.

Whether your goal is to gain muscle, lose fat, move pain-free, or unlock new levels of strength, I coach you through a clear and practical system that delivers results — in and out of the gym.

Questions

Do I need a gym membership to sign up?

A gym membership is not required for any of my training sessions.

What are your operating hours?

Due to the nature of working at 2 gyms and as a mobile trainer, my hours vary. But I remain flexible and always look to accommodate every client as best I can.

I have an injury, can I still train?

Yes, most injuries are likely to recover better with the right amount of movement. Too little or too much should be avoided. Training with a PT is a great way to ensure you can intelligently strike this balance and overcome your injury.

Can I park at the gym?

Both gyms I work at have free parking available. Although at Lift Each Other this is a short walk (3 mins) away.

What if I cant make the session, do I still have to pay?

I operate with a 24hr cancellation policy, with a few exceptions such as bereavement and extreme illness or injury

Can I do mobile training even if I don’t have any equipment?

Yes, I have a lot of mobile equipment. As long as you have a space to train that is within a reasonable proximity from where I can park, we can organise a great training session.
